Hello! My name is Amanda Maleitzke. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree focused in Graphic Design from Saint Cloud State University (SCSU). While attending college, I completed several courses toward a marketing minor. After completing college, I worked as an intern for the Center For Hmong Arts and Talent, GTS Educational Events, and the White Bear Lake Area Educational Foundation. Since finishing my internships, I have worked at Regis Corporation, Optum and Target. 

At Regis Corporation, I started in a contract to hire position through 24/7 LLC and was soon hired by Regis directly as a full-time employee. My role focused on image editing, organizing company server files, designing email templates, flyers for promotional product deals, magazine spreads for Shoptalk (an in-house magazine that features deals on retail products and new products), banners for the Franchise Product Sales, and Employee Product Sales and Tools for the Pro websites. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Regis Corporation had to eliminate my position along with many other creative and marketing positions at the company due to budget cuts. My experience at Regis Corporation was incredible. I loved the work, the people I worked with, and the experiences I had with Regis Corporation.

My experience at Optum was also through 24/7 LLC as a full-time contract employee. At Optum, I was responsible for editing stock images, concepting flyer designs, infographics, flyers that feature product and medical advances to share with consumers, and creating digital and social advertisements to promote health care concepts, products and programs. While working at Optum, the company went through an entire re-brand which was an unforgettable experience to participate in and contribute to. I enjoyed playing an active role in the re-brand process and ensuring the new brand launched perfectly through experimenting with the beautiful new brand colors and paving the way for new layouts and templates. The creative team at Optum is full of talented and passionate designers and it was an honor to work with such caring and talented individuals.

Lastly, my current job experience involved working as a contractor for Target. Target has an incredible design and marketing team and it amazes me that I get to be a part of such a well-known/powerful company. My main role at Target consists of assisting and concepting compelling designs for broad campaign work like Easter, Fall, Halloween, Valentine's Day and other major holidays around the world. The key to creating designs in this type of work is to ensure that you can voice the brand while also still reaching all ages and demographics to ensure that all customers and partners are fulfilled and can experience these events in a easy and affordable way.

Other passions, skills and interests of mine outside of graphic design include creating emote illustrations for streamers on Twitch (gaming/live-streaming platform), painting, photography, animals, surfing, reading and swimming, and traveling. I am passionate about protecting our environment, especially our oceans. I am a proud cat owner and I am also an avid NHL Minnesota Wild fan. My dream is to contribute my skills and creativity to a company who shares the same passion of the power that design holds and offers the world. I love creating all types of art, including but not limited to paintings, drawings and ceramics. I also love experimenting with color, print, typography, publication design, branding, interactive design and web design. I aspire to use the experiences I have had throughout my career thus far to contribute and enhance my ability to impact the world through dynamic and compelling graphic design.
